Pharmacology
Iron is a vital mineral that plays a key role in the production of red blood cells, which transport oxygen throughout the body. Iron deficiency can lead to anemia, causing fatigue and weakness. Although liver is a rich source of iron, pregnant women should avoid consuming it, as it also contains high levels of Vitamin A, which may be harmful to the unborn baby in excessive amounts.
Folic Acid is essential for the synthesis of coenzymes involved in various metabolic processes, including the production of purines and pyrimidines. It is also crucial for nucleoprotein synthesis during red blood cell formation and supports the production of white blood cells and platelets in cases of folate-deficiency anemia.
Vitamin C is necessary for collagen formation, tissue repair, and various metabolic processes, including oxidation-reduction reactions. It also aids in the synthesis of catecholamines, carnitine, and steroids, while playing a role in converting Folic Acid into its active form, Folinic Acid.
Vitamin B Complex consists of essential nutrients that contribute to overall health and energy production. Each type of Vitamin B serves a unique function, including maintaining cell health, supporting metabolism, and ensuring proper neurological function. Deficiencies in these vitamins can result in various health complications, and supplementation may be required in cases of inadequate dietary intake.
