Pharmacology
Zinc is an essential mineral involved in various physiological processes such as immune function, wound healing, digestion, reproduction, and both physical and mental development. It is crucial for growth and development during pregnancy, childhood, and adolescence. Zinc also has antioxidant properties and is beneficial for treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children. In adults, a deficiency in zinc may result in symptoms such as loss of appetite, diminished taste and smell, depression, white spots on nails, frequent infections, low fertility, mental health issues, poor wound healing, weak immune system, diarrhea, mental fatigue, rough skin, and weight loss.
B-vitamins are vital for energy production from food and play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy brain and nerve function. These vitamins also promote healthy red blood cell formation and are particularly important for the proper growth and development of children. In adults, a B-vitamin deficiency can lead to fatigue, weakness, poor balance, confusion, irritability, memory problems, nervousness, tingling sensations in the limbs, and coordination loss. Other symptoms of B-vitamin deficiency may include sleep disturbances, nausea, poor appetite, frequent infections, and skin lesions.

Interactions
The simultaneous use of tetracyclines and zinc may reduce the absorption and serum levels of tetracyclines. Similarly, combining zinc with fluoroquinolones may decrease the absorption and serum levels of certain fluoroquinolones. Co-administration of Niacin with HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (e.g., lovastatin) may increase the risk of myopathy and rhabdomyolysis. Pyridoxine can reduce the effectiveness of levodopa by enhancing its peripheral metabolism. Additionally, combining pyridoxine with phenytoin may lower the serum levels of phenytoin.
Contraindications
Aritone Z is contraindicated for individuals with a known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
