Description
Indications:
Azecol is an advanced antioxidant supplement designed to provide nutritional support for the eyes. It is specifically formulated to help manage age-related eye diseases, including macular degeneration and cataracts.
Always consult a registered physician before use.
Composition:
Each capsule contains:
- Vitamin C: 60 mg
- Vitamin E: 30 mg
- Lutein (Pharmaceutical grade): 6 mg
- Copper (as Cupric oxide, Pharmaceutical grade): 2 mg
- Zinc (as Zinc oxide, BP): 15 mg
Pharmacology:
- Vitamin C: Highly concentrated in the eye lens, Vitamin C helps reduce the risk of cataracts by scavenging harmful free radicals. Long-term use (10+ years) has been associated with a lower risk of cataract formation.
- Vitamin E: Acts as a potent antioxidant, protecting eye tissues from oxidative damage. High serum levels of Vitamin E are linked to a reduced risk of cataracts.
- Lutein: A carotenoid concentrated in the macula, Lutein helps protect the retina from oxidative and light-induced damage. Studies suggest that higher dietary intake of Lutein is associated with a reduced risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
- Zinc: An essential trace element involved in numerous enzyme systems, Zinc supports immune function, wound healing, and overall eye health. Deficiency can lead to impaired taste, smell, and delayed wound healing.
- Copper: Plays a vital role in growth, skeletal integrity, and nervous system development. It is also involved in various metabolic processes as part of enzyme systems.
Dosage and Administration:
- Take one capsule once or twice daily, or as directed by a physician.
