- Rosacea, periorificial dermatitis, folliculitis, stasis dermatitis, chronic lymphedema, and familial pemphigus.

Pharmacology
Clindamycin, the active ingredient in Clindacin Lotion, is a lincosamide antibiotic derived from lincomycin. It exhibits potent anti-acne and antibacterial activity by binding to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, thereby inhibiting early-stage protein synthesis. Clindamycin is highly effective against Gram-positive and anaerobic bacteria.
Microbiology
Clindamycin is active against the following microorganisms:
- Aerobic Gram-positive cocci: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis (both penicillinase-producing and non-penicillinase-producing strains), Streptococci, and Pneumococci.
- Anaerobic Gram-negative bacilli: Bacteroides species, Fusobacterium species.
- Anaerobic Gram-positive non-spore-forming bacilli: Propionibacterium species, Eubacterium species, Actinomyces species.
- Anaerobic and microaerophilic Gram-positive cocci: Peptococcus species, Peptostreptococcus species, Microaerophilic streptococci, and Clostridium perfringens.
