Description

Indications

Eyedew is a sterile eye drop indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with dry eyes.

Use as directed by a registered healthcare professional.

Composition

Each ml contains:

• Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium (USP) – 5 mg
• Glycerin (BP) – 9 mg
• Preservative: Sodium Perborate (BP) – 0.01%

Pharmacology

The combination of Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium and Glycerin works synergistically to alleviate dry eye symptoms in two primary ways. First, it creates a lubricating and hydrating shield on the ocular surface to protect the eye. Second, it works beneath the tear film to provide further protection to the cornea.

Dosage & Administration

Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) as needed, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Suitable for use in children.

Drug Interactions

There are no known interactions with other drugs. It is recommended to consult a doctor before use.

Contraindications

Not recommended for individuals with a known hypersensitivity to any ingredient in this product.

Side Effects

• Common side effects: Temporary blurred vision when Eyedew is first applied.
• Rare side effects: Mild, temporary burning sensation may occur.

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Pregnancy: There are no well-controlled studies available in pregnant women. Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium and Glycerin should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefits outweigh any potential risks to the fetus.
• Lactation: The presence of Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium or Glycerin in human milk has not been studied. Caution is advised when administering this product to nursing mothers.

Precautions & Warnings

If irritation, eye pain, or visual changes worsen or persist beyond 72 hours, consult a doctor immediately.

Overdose Effects

An overdose of Eyedew eye drops is not expected to cause harm.
