Description

Indications:
Ispergul is indicated for the following conditions:

• Constipation
• Raised levels of cholesterol
• Hemorrhoids or piles
• Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
• Reduction of blood glucose levels
• Assisting with smooth bowel movements, particularly beneficial for patients with anal fissures, colon cancer, post-anal & rectal surgery, and during pregnancy.

Composition:
Each spoonful contains 3.5 gm of Psyllium Husk as the active ingredient. When mixed with water, it forms a thick gel that aids in relieving constipation and regularizing bowel movements.

Description:
Psyllium Husk is a mild laxative containing 80% soluble fiber. The primary component, mucilage, is highly effective in treating chronic constipation, hemorrhoids, and colon cancer. It also provides soothing effects on the gastric and intestinal mucosa, making it beneficial for conditions like gastric irritation and ulceration. Additionally, Psyllium Husk helps lower serum cholesterol levels (LDL), reduces blood glucose, and is suitable for obese and diabetic patients.

Dosage:

• Usual dose: 1 spoonful, 1-3 times daily or as directed by a physician.
• Adults and children over 12 years: 1 spoonful with water 2 times daily or as per doctor’s advice.
• Children 6 to 12 years: ½ to 1 spoonful with water, depending on age and size, in the morning and at bedtime or as per doctor’s advice.
• Children under 6 years: Not recommended unless directed by a physician.

An additional glass of water is recommended after taking this gel.

Administration:

1. Take one spoonful with the provided spoon.
2. Add the husk to an empty glass.
3. Fill the glass with 150 ml (or 2/3 of the glass) of water, stir well, and drink immediately.

Contraindications:
Ispergul is contraindicated in patients with gastrointestinal tract obstruction or any condition that threatens bowel obstruction.
