Lacrigel G 0.5%+0.9%

This sterile eye drop is indicated for the relief of symptoms due to dryness of the eye.
Use as directed by a registered healthcare professional.

Composition

Each ml contains:

• Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium (USP) – 5 mg
• Glycerin (BP) – 9 mg
• Preservative: Sodium Perborate (BP) – 0.01%

Pharmacology

The combination of Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium and Glycerin relieves dry eye symptoms in two ways:

1. It provides lubrication and hydration by forming a protective shield on the ocular surface.
2. It works below the tear film to provide protection to the cornea.

Dosage & Administration

Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) as needed, or as directed by a healthcare provider.
Suitable for use in children.

Drug Interactions

Interaction with other drugs is unknown. It is advisable to consult a doctor before use.

Contraindications

Not recommended for individuals with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient in this product.

Side Effects

• Common side effects: Temporary blurred vision upon initial use.
• Rare side effects: Minor, temporary burning sensation.

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Pregnancy: No well-controlled studies have been conducted in pregnant women. Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium and Glycerin should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefits outweigh potential risks to the fetus.
• Lactation: The presence of Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium or Glycerin in human milk has not been studied. Caution is advised when using this product during breastfeeding.

Precautions & Warnings

Consult a healthcare professional if irritation, eye pain, or visual changes worsen or persist beyond 72 hours.

Overdose Effects

An overdose of Lacrigel G eye drops is not expected to cause harm.
