Description

Indications

Lubric D is a lubricant and artificial tear solution designed to relieve dry eye symptoms and ocular irritation caused by deficient tear or mucous secretion. It helps prevent corneal damage in patients with keratoconjunctivitis and provides ocular lubrication. Additionally, it offers temporary relief from burning and irritation due to dryness and acts as a protective barrier against further irritation.

Always use as directed by a registered physician.

Pharmacology

Lubric D contains Dextran and Hypromellose, which mimic natural tears to soothe and protect the eyes while maintaining moisture.

• Hypromellose enhances corneal wetting by stabilizing and thickening the precorneal tear film, prolonging tear film breakup time in dry eye conditions. It also acts as a lubricant and protective agent.
• Dextran is a complex branched glucan that helps retain moisture on the eye surface, slowing tear film evaporation. It is also used medicinally as an antithrombotic and blood viscosity reducer.

Dosage & Administration

• Adults & children: Instill one or two drops into the affected eye(s) three times daily or as prescribed by a physician.

Contraindications

• Contains Benzalkonium Chloride—should not be used while wearing soft contact lenses.

Side Effects

• No known side effects. However, if any eye irritation or adverse reaction occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

Pregnancy & Lactation

• Insufficient safety data; use during pregnancy and lactation only if deemed essential by a physician.
