Description

Indications:
Lutin Plus is indicated for age-related eye diseases (ARED). It provides nutritional support for eye health through essential antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and lutein. It helps protect the eyes from oxidative stress and may reduce the risk of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and cataracts.

Composition (Per Capsule):

• Vitamin C: 60 mg
• Vitamin E: 30 mg
• Lutein (Ph. grade): 6 mg
• Copper (as Cupric oxide): 2 mg
• Zinc (as Zinc oxide BP): 15 mg

Pharmacology:

• Vitamin C: Concentrated in the eye lens, it plays a vital role in free radical scavenging and may reduce the risk of cataracts.
• Vitamin E: Acts as an antioxidant and may lower cataract risk through its free radical-neutralizing effects.
• Lutein: A carotenoid concentrated in the macula, it may protect against macular degeneration and oxidative damage.
• Zinc: Supports enzyme functions and helps in wound healing, immune response, and eye health.
• Copper: Essential for growth, skeletal integrity, and nervous system development, also aiding metabolic conversions.

Dosage & Administration:
One capsule, once or twice daily, or as directed by a physician.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any ingredients.

Side Effects:

• Vitamin C: High doses may cause diarrhea or gastrointestinal upset.
• Vitamin E: High doses may cause fatigue, weakness, and gastrointestinal issues.
