Viset 50 mg
Description
Indications
Viset is an effective antispasmodic medication used to relieve muscle spasms in the intestines, biliary system, bladder, and uterus. It is primarily indicated for the symptomatic relief of pain caused by functional disorders of the digestive tract and biliary system. Additionally, it is used to treat spasm and pain associated with urological and gynecological conditions.
Take this medication only as prescribed by a registered healthcare professional.
Pharmacology
Viset contains Tiemonium Methylsulphate, a competitive antagonist of acetylcholine and histamine. It enhances the binding of calcium with membrane phospholipids and proteins, which inhibits the intracellular contractile proteins in visceral cells. This mechanism effectively reduces visceral spasms and alleviates pain.

Tablet/Syrup:
- Adults: The usual dosage is 2-6 tablets or 3-9 teaspoonfuls of syrup daily, divided into multiple doses.
- Children: The recommended dosage is 3 ml/kg or 6 mg/kg of body weight daily, divided into multiple doses.

Side Effects
While taking Viset Methylsulphate, some individuals may experience hypotension or tachycardia. If any unusual symptoms occur, consult a healthcare provider.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Animal studies have shown no teratogenic effects of Tiemonium Methylsulphate, and no deformities have been observed with its normal use. However, as there is limited data on its safety during pregnancy and lactation, it is recommended that nursing mothers exercise caution, although no significant issues have been reported with normal use.
