Description

Indications
For symptomatic relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or exposure to wind or sun. It is also used for treating keratoconjunctivitis sicca.

Composition
Each ml contains:
Active Substances:

• Glycerin BP 2 mg
• Hypromellose USP 3.6 mg
• Polyethylene Glycol 400 BP 10 mg

Excipients:

• Ascorbic acid, boric acid, sodium tetraborate, disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium citrate, sodium lactate solution, dextrose, glycine, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, sodium hydroxide, water for injections.

Preservative:

• Benzalkonium Chloride BP 0.2 mg

Pharmacology
This is a colorless, clear, aqueous lubricant sterile ocular solution for the eye. It spreads rapidly over the conjunctiva and cornea to form a lubricating and protective film. Polyethylene Glycol 400 enhances the stability of the tear film. Hypromellose helps the tear film adhere to the ocular surface, while glycerin restores moisture to dry eyes. Electrolytes similar to natural tears support a healthy corneal epithelial surface.

Dosage & Administration
Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times daily or as needed.

Interaction
If using multiple eye medications, wait at least 5 minutes between each application.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Side Effects
Mild, transient burning or sticky sensation may occur occasionally. Rarely, irritation or hypersensitivity reactions may be reported. Blurred vision may occur briefly after application.

There is no available safety data for use during pregnancy or lactation. Consult your doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Precautions & Warnings
Remove contact lenses before use. Do not use if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy. Avoid touching the container tip to any surface to prevent contamination. Replace the cap after use.
