Description

Indications:
Xinc is recommended for the treatment of zinc deficiency and conditions that cause zinc loss. Zinc deficiency may result from poor dietary intake or malabsorption. Zinc loss can occur due to trauma, burns, diarrhea, or conditions that result in protein loss. Zinc supplementation is typically used until clinical improvement is observed. However, in cases of severe malabsorption, metabolic disorders, or prolonged zinc loss, the supplement may need to be continued.
Follow the guidance of a registered healthcare professional when taking this medication.

Pharmacology:
Zinc sulfate monohydrate is a vital trace element essential for several enzymatic processes in the body. It is crucial for normal growth, sexual maturation, and overall health. Zinc supports various functions, including dark vision adaptation, sense of smell and taste, insulin storage and release, and immune defenses. Deficiency in zinc can impair immune function, delay wound healing, reduce the sense of taste and smell, impair infection resistance, cause poor night vision, increase the risk of miscarriage, lead to hair loss, mental fatigue, skin changes, and hinder reproductive organ development.

Dosage:

  • Children under 10 kg: 5 ml (1 teaspoon) twice daily after meals.
  • Children between 10-30 kg: 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 1-3 times daily after meals.
  • Adults and children over 30 kg: 20 ml (4 teaspoonfuls) 1-3 times daily after meals.

This supplement is best taken at least 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals. If stomach upset occurs, it may be taken with food.
