Indications:
- Xfin Tablet: Treatment of onychomycosis (nail infection) due to dermatophytes.
- Xfin Granules: Treatment of Tinea Capitis (scalp fungal infection).
- Xfin Cream: Treatment for skin fungal infections caused by Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton, and yeast infections (Candida).
- Xfin 1% Spray: Treatment for tinea skin infections and pityriasis versicolor (Malassezia furfur).

Pharmacology: Terbinafine, the active ingredient, inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis, leading to fungal cell death by increasing membrane permeability. It is fungicidal to many strains like Trichophyton rubrum.

Dosage & Administration:
- Tablets:
- Fingernail onychomycosis: 250 mg daily for 6 weeks.
- Toenail onychomycosis: 250 mg daily for 12 weeks.
- Granules:
- <25 kg: 125 mg daily for up to 6 weeks.
- 25-35 kg: 187.5 mg daily for up to 6 weeks.

35 kg: 250 mg daily for up to 6 weeks.
- Cream: Apply once or twice daily for 1-2 weeks depending on the infection type.
- Spray: Apply once or twice daily for 1 week, depending on the condition.

Interactions: Terbinafine inhibits CYP450 2D6 enzymes, which may interact with certain drugs like antidepressants, beta-blockers, and antiarrhythmics.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to terbinafine and pre-existing liver conditions.

Side Effects: Common side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, rashes, and liver test abnormalities. Serious side effects can include liver failure and severe skin reactions.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
- Tablets: Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to potential risks.
- Cream: Should be used cautiously during pregnancy; not recommended during breastfeeding.

Precautions: Regular liver monitoring is advised during treatment, especially for those with liver disease. The cream is for external use only, and contact with eyes should be avoided.
